Polyester also holds up well. It does not fray fast. It works for daily office use.
Nylon
Nylon has a shiny, silky feel. It looks a bit more posh than polyester. Colors turn out soft. The print sits on a glossy band, so it catches the light. It costs a little more than polyester.
Some brands like nylon for a smart, clean look. It suits a launch event or a VIP pass.
Woven
A woven lanyard has the text sewn into the strap. The words are not printed on top. They are created from the threads. This makes it very tough.
Woven straps suit sports clubs and long events. They last through knocks and pulls. One limit: they work best for plain text and simple logos. Fine art and photos do not show well on woven.
Tubular
Tubular polyester is a round, low-cost strap. It is light and cheap. It feels like a shoelace. It is good for big giveaways where cost matters most.

Satin and Eco Options
Satin lanyards feel soft and smooth. They give a neat, tidy look for gifts.
