A Practical Printed Giveaway with Visible Branding
A printed hand fan works differently from many conventional promotional products because the artwork becomes an important part of the product itself. The broad fan panel can carry a company logo, event identity, illustration, promotional message or detailed campaign artwork while remaining functional for guests during the event.
This makes custom hand fan printing particularly relevant for Malaysian events held in warm environments, busy halls or outdoor spaces. Instead of distributing a promotional piece meant only for display, organizers can give guests something they can hold and use throughout the occasion.
Choose Between Two Printed Hand Fan Sizes
RafflesTag Malaysia offers this printed hand fan in 38 × 21 cm and 42 × 23 cm sizes. Your choice should depend mainly on the artwork and how you'll distribute the fan, not simply on picking the largest option.
The 38 × 21 cm version is useful when the design consists mainly of a logo, short message or simple event graphic. The larger 42 × 23 cm option provides additional room when the artwork contains several visual elements, sponsor logos, promotional information or a more prominent campaign design.
Before production, consider how much information actually needs to appear on the fan. Keeping important text readable can be more effective than filling every available area with content.
Design the Fan Around Your Event
Custom artwork can include a company logo, event name, wedding details, sponsor logos, product imagery, campaign messages, QR codes, and other promotional graphics. Full-color artwork also allows the fan to become part of an event's wider visual identity instead of looking like a separate promotional item.
For exhibitions and roadshows, for example, the hand fan design can follow the same branding used on a custom flying banner. Matching colors, logos, and campaign graphics across handheld giveaways and larger displays can create a more consistent presentation throughout the venue.
Suitable for Weddings and Celebrations
Printed fans can be incorporated into weddings and celebrations as functional guest items. Artwork can feature the couple's names, wedding date, illustrations or other event-specific graphics. Because the printed panel offers considerably more design space than many small souvenirs, the artwork can become a noticeable part of the event theme.
The fans can be placed at guest tables, registration areas, entrances or distributed before an outdoor portion of the ceremony. For event organizers with larger guest numbers, the lightweight handheld format also makes fans easy to distribute.
Promotional Hand Fans for Roadshows and Campaigns
Roadshows, exhibitions, festivals and promotional campaigns often require items that can be handed out quickly to many visitors. A printed fan provides a large visible surface without requiring the recipient to wear the product.
Businesses can feature campaign artwork, product images, promotional messages or QR codes on the fan panel. Staff working at the same event can use custom printed lanyards for identification while distributing branded fans to visitors, creating separate products for staff identification and audience engagement.
Choosing Your Handle Color
Available handle colors include black, orange, green, red and brown. You can select a handle color that complements the dominant colors in the artwork or event theme.
For corporate designs, a neutral handle can keep attention on the printed panel. For festivals, launches or colorful promotional campaigns, a stronger contrasting handle color can become part of the overall design. When preparing artwork, consider the fan panel and handle together rather than treating the handle as an unrelated component.
Printed Hand Fans Versus Large Display Products
Hand fans and banners can carry similar promotional artwork, but they serve different roles. A banner stays in a specific location and is meant to reach people from a distance. A printed hand fan is distributed individually and viewed up close.
For campaigns that require both venue visibility and giveaways, the two formats can complement each other. A PVC or mesh banner can communicate the main campaign message at the venue, while printed hand fans can carry related artwork directly into guests' hands.
Preparing Artwork for Hand Fan Printing
Plan artwork around the selected fan size and shape. Place important logos, names and essential information where they remain clearly visible after the fan is assembled. Avoid very small text and crowded layouts, especially when several sponsor logos or pieces of information need to appear together.
Full-color artwork gives designers flexibility to use illustrations, photographs, gradients, and branded graphics. QR codes can also be incorporated where appropriate, but they should remain large enough and clear enough to scan easily.
Production Planning for Events
Custom printed hand fans usually require around 15 business days after artwork approval, while rush production may be available from around 10 business days. Consider production timing when planning weddings, exhibitions, roadshows, launches, and scheduled campaigns.
Complete artwork preparation and approval as early as possible, especially when the fan is part of a larger set of customized event materials. Confirming the size, handle color, quantity and final artwork before production helps keep the order aligned with the intended event date.
RafflesTag Malaysia supplies printed hand fans for corporate promotions, celebrations, schools, events and large-scale campaigns. Choose your preferred size and handle color, prepare your custom artwork, and coordinate the design with other event materials for a consistent branded setup.
Frequently Asked Questions:
