Why Choose Kraft Paper Bags?
Kraft paper bags are designed for buyers who want branded packaging with a more natural visual character. The paper surface gives the bag a straightforward appearance that works particularly well with simple logos, typography, and clean graphic layouts. Instead of making the packaging itself look highly decorative, kraft keeps attention on the brand identity and the item inside.
This makes custom kraft paper bags useful across several business settings. Retail shops can use them for customer purchases, cafés can use them for suitable packaged items, and companies can prepare them for event merchandise, giveaways or gift packs. They are also relevant for exhibitions, roadshows and promotional campaigns where branded packaging helps create a more coordinated presentation.
Selecting the Right Kraft Paper Bag Size
Start by matching the bag size to the dimensions and shape of the item inside. RafflesTag Malaysia’s paper bag range includes A5, A4, and A3 sizes, giving buyers options for different packaging needs. Smaller bags can suit compact merchandise and gifts, while larger formats provide more room for products, documents or event packs.
Orientation also matters. Vertical layouts work well when the contents are taller or need to remain upright. Horizontal layouts provide additional width for flatter or wider items. Before ordering, measure the product itself rather than selecting a bag based only on appearance. Leaving enough space around the contents makes packing and carrying easier.
Kraft Paper Bag Printing and Artwork
A custom kraft paper bag can carry a company logo, brand name, promotional message or campaign artwork. Because kraft has its own recognizable paper tone and texture, plan artwork with the base material in mind rather than treating it like artwork for a bright white coated surface.
Bold logos, clear typography and uncomplicated graphics can work especially well with the natural appearance of kraft. Buyers preparing artwork should consider the contrast between the design and the paper background. Review fine details, very small text, and artwork that relies heavily on precise background color reproduction before production.
For businesses planning a paper bag campaign for the first time, RafflesTag Malaysia’s guide on where to buy custom printed paper bags in Malaysia also covers key sourcing considerations, including material choice, artwork preparation, and production planning.
Kraft Paper Bag vs Laminated Paper Bag
The main buying decision within the paper bag range is often kraft versus laminated paper. Kraft is better suited to a natural, casual or understated packaging direction. Laminated paper provides a smoother, more polished surface and is generally the stronger choice when the visual objective involves premium presentation, detailed artwork or a glossy or matte finished appearance.
Neither style fits every packaging requirement. A café, artisan-style retailer or community campaign may prefer kraft because its appearance fits the brand direction. A premium launch or formal corporate gift presentation may instead call for laminated packaging. Matching the material to the occasion is more useful than choosing purely by appearance.
When a Reusable Bag May Be Better
Paper bags are primarily packaging and presentation products. If your campaign is intended to give recipients a bag they can carry repeatedly for shopping, work or daily activities, a fabric option may make more sense.
For example, custom canvas tote bags provide a heavier reusable fabric format suitable for merchandise and corporate gifts. Non-woven tote bags offer another option for bulk events and promotional distribution. Choosing between paper and fabric therefore depends on whether your priority is packaging or continued carrying after the event or purchase.
Suitable Uses for Custom Kraft Bags
Kraft paper bags can be incorporated into retail purchases, product packaging, event giveaways, merchandise collections and corporate gift preparation. For cafés and suitable takeaway applications, the natural appearance can complement simple food and beverage branding. Boutiques and independent retailers can use custom printing to turn otherwise functional packaging into a recognizable part of the customer experience.
Event organizers can also use the bags for distributing brochures, lightweight merchandise, gifts or promotional materials. When backpack-style carrying is more practical for an event, custom drawstring bags provide an alternative with shoulder cords and reusable fabric construction.
Preparing Your Kraft Paper Bag Order
Before requesting production, decide what will go inside the bag, the required quantity, preferred size and orientation, and the artwork you want displayed. These details help determine whether the chosen kraft bag configuration suits the intended application.
Prepare artwork at suitable quality, keeping logos and important text clear and readable. If your design contains fine details, complex color areas or special visual requirements, have the artwork reviewed against the kraft material before final production. This reduces the risk of choosing a packaging style that does not suit the design.
RafflesTag Malaysia supplies kraft as part of its custom paper bag selection for businesses, events and promotional packaging in Malaysia. For projects requiring several types of branded carriers, buyers can also compare paper bags with canvas, non-woven and other options in the broader bag range.
Frequently Asked Questions:
A kraft paper bag is a paper-based carrying and packaging bag known for its natural appearance. You can customize it with a company logo, brand name, promotional message, or artwork for retail, events, and business packaging.
Yes. Kraft paper bags can be customized with company logos, brand names, artwork, and promotional messages. Plan artwork around the natural kraft background so important text and design elements stay clear.
RafflesTag Malaysia’s paper bag range includes A5, A4, and A3 size categories. The appropriate option depends on the dimensions and shape of the products, merchandise, documents or gifts you intend to pack.
Yes. The RafflesTag Malaysia paper bag range includes vertical and horizontal layouts. Vertical bags suit taller or upright contents, while horizontal formats provide additional width for wider products, boxes and merchandise.
They can be used for retail purchases, cafés, corporate gifts, events, exhibitions, roadshows, merchandise, giveaways, and promotional packaging. Select the appropriate bag size based on the contents.
Kraft paper has a more natural and understated appearance. Laminated paper bags have a smoother, polished surface and can suit packaging where detailed artwork or a more premium visual finish is the priority.
