Premium Branded Packaging with a Laminated Finish
A laminated paper bag is a strong choice when the packaging itself forms part of the product presentation. Instead of treating the bag as a simple carrier, businesses can use its printable exterior to extend their visual identity beyond the product box, gift set, or retail counter. The laminated surface gives printed graphics a finished appearance suited to corporate presentations, boutiques, launches and branded merchandise.
This style is particularly useful when artwork contains multiple colors, detailed graphics or a design intended to cover a significant part of the bag. You can incorporate logos, company names, campaign graphics, product artwork, event messages, and promotional designs into the layout.
Choose Between Matte and Glossy Lamination
The finish changes how the final bag looks, so consider it alongside the artwork rather than as an afterthought. Anti-scratch matte provides a smoother, lower-shine appearance and works well with understated corporate designs, minimal layouts and premium gift packaging.
Glossy lamination creates a shinier surface and can complement bright, colorful graphics. When comparing materials and styles before ordering, the broader paper bag printing range also includes kraft paper bags for buyers looking for a different packaging appearance.
A5, A4 and A3 Size Options
RafflesTag Malaysia offers three general size formats, each available in vertical and horizontal configurations. The current listed dimensions are A5 Vertical at 21 × 15 × 10 cm, A4 Vertical at 33 × 26 × 10 cm, and A3 Vertical at 40 × 30 × 10 cm.
Horizontal options include A5 at 18 × 24 × 9 cm, A4 at 25 × 32 × 10 cm, and A3 at 30 × 41 × 8 cm. Rather than choosing only by the A5, A4, or A3 name, compare the actual dimensions with the item being packed. Allow enough space for easy insertion, particularly when packing boxes, clothing, documents, or multi-item gift sets.
Vertical or Horizontal: Which Layout Works Better?
Vertical laminated paper bags suit products that benefit from a taller presentation. Horizontal bags provide more width and may work better for wider boxes, folded merchandise or gift arrangements.
Before placing a bulk order, consider the dimensions and orientation of the item inside the bag. This prevents oversized packaging and reduces the chance of selecting a bag that is too narrow for the actual product. If a reusable fabric carrier better suits your campaign, compare the paper format with our custom canvas tote bags.
Select a Handle to Match the Presentation
Handle choice can influence both appearance and carrying experience. Ribbon handles create a decorative presentation that suits gift-oriented packaging. Cotton cord handles provide a clean rope-style finish, while twisted handles offer another option for buyers who want a different visual treatment.
Think about the bag artwork, intended use and items being packed when selecting the handle. A corporate gift bag, boutique shopping bag and exhibition giveaway bag may use similar dimensions but benefit from different handle treatments.
Add Foil Stamping or UV Spot Finishing
Optional finishing can help selected artwork elements stand apart from the main printed design. Foil stamping can emphasize chosen design areas, while UV spot finishing can highlight specific sections with a contrasting surface effect.
These upgrades work best when used selectively. A logo, emblem, short brand element or other important graphic can receive the additional treatment while the rest of the artwork remains visually balanced. The final finishing choice should therefore be planned together with the artwork rather than added without considering the overall layout.
Laminated Paper Bags vs Reusable Promotional Bags
Laminated paper bags are primarily suited to branded packaging and presentation. For campaigns where recipients are expected to keep and repeatedly carry the bag, a fabric-based option may make more sense.
RafflesTag Malaysia also supplies custom non-woven tote bags for promotional campaigns and custom drawstring bags for events, schools, sports activities and giveaway packs. Choosing between these formats depends on whether packaging presentation or repeated carrying is the main requirement.
Artwork Planning for Custom Paper Bag Printing
Prepare the design around the selected bag orientation and dimensions. Important logos, text and brand elements should remain easy to identify once the flat printed sheet is converted into the finished bag. Avoid treating folds, edges and gussets as though they were part of one uninterrupted front-facing artwork area.
Before production, confirm the required size, orientation, handle, lamination and optional finishing together. Making these decisions before final artwork approval reduces unnecessary revisions and ensures that the design is prepared for the actual bag configuration being ordered.
Plan Production Around Your Required Date
Standard custom paper bag production takes about 15 business days after artwork approval, while rush production may be available in about 10 business days. Buyers working toward exhibitions, launches, conferences, or corporate events should allow additional time for artwork preparation, approval, and delivery.
For more guidance before ordering, read our guide to buying custom printed paper bags in Malaysia. Once your size, quantity, artwork and required date are ready, RafflesTag Malaysia can review the requirements for your laminated paper bag order.
Frequently Asked Questions:
A laminated paper bag is a printed paper carrier finished with a laminated outer surface. The finish creates a smoother presentation and suits retail packaging, corporate gifts, launches, and branded merchandise.
RafflesTag Malaysia currently offers A5, A4, and A3 laminated paper bag formats. Each is available in vertical and horizontal layouts, giving buyers options for taller products, wider boxes, merchandise, and corporate gift sets.
Choose anti-scratch matte for a smoother, lower-shine appearance that complements understated branding. Glossy lamination provides a shinier look and can work particularly well with colorful graphics and designs meant to have a stronger visual impact.
Yes. Laminated paper bags suit company logos, brand names, promotional messages, product designs, and detailed full-color artwork. Prepare the final layout based on the selected bag size and orientation.
Available handle choices include ribbon handles, cotton cord handles, and twisted handles. The most appropriate option depends on the desired presentation, artwork and intended use of the finished custom paper bag.
Yes. Foil stamping is available as an optional finishing treatment. It can be used on selected areas of the design to emphasize elements such as a logo, emblem or other important branding detail.
