Why Choose a 180 GSM V-Neck T-Shirt?
Fabric weight is one of the first decisions when ordering custom T-shirts. At 180 GSM, this cotton V-neck sits at the lighter end of RafflesTag’s cotton range, below the 230 GSM and 260 GSM options shown on the parent product page. That makes it a sensible starting point when you want a mid-weight branded shirt for repeated event, team or promotional use rather than the extra substance of a heavier tee.
The V-neck is the main style difference. It creates a more open neckline than the familiar round-neck shape while keeping the straightforward short-sleeve T-shirt format. This can help organizations separate staff groups, create a distinct merchandise look or simply choose a neckline that better suits the visual direction of the campaign. For a direct comparison, use the Cotton T-Shirt page to review the available neckline and GSM combinations.
Branding for Logos, Names and Event Artwork
The shirt can be customized with a company logo, team name, event name, school name, sponsor logo, slogan or other suitable artwork. RafflesTag’s apparel category identifies screen printing, heat transfer and embroidery as T-shirt branding options. Rather than selecting a process only by habit, match the method to the artwork, placement, quantity and finish you want on the garment.
Before production, prepare the artwork at the clearest available quality and confirm the intended placement. A small left-chest logo creates a different result from a large front or back graphic, while names or event details may need their own layout. Keeping the V-neck opening clear of crowded artwork also helps the finished design feel intentional. Final artwork should be approved before the production timeline begins.
Where This V-Neck Style Fits Best
The 180 GSM cotton V-neck works well when the garment itself should feel familiar and easy to distribute across a group. Common applications include company activities, family days, exhibitions, roadshows, volunteer teams, clubs, school programs and branded campaigns. If your requirement is more performance-focused, compare it with custom Dri-Fit clothing, which is a separate apparel option for buyers prioritizing sports-oriented wear.
For a more formal outer layer, a T-shirt may not be the right endpoint. Teams that need coordinated apparel for offices, travel, outdoor work or cooler environments can also review custom corporate jackets. For running, training or athletic events where a sleeveless cut is more appropriate, the Sports Singlet range provides a clearer alternative.
Choosing 180 GSM Versus Heavier Cotton Options
RafflesTag lists 180 GSM, 230 GSM and 260 GSM for both round-neck and V-neck cotton styles. The decision is therefore not only about neckline. A 180 GSM shirt is the option to consider when you want less fabric weight, while the 230 GSM and 260 GSM variants are available when a heavier construction is preferred. Keeping these choices on separate style pages helps buyers compare the trade-off clearly instead of treating every cotton tee as identical.
If you are planning a mixed apparel order, it can also be useful to coordinate the shirt with headwear. RafflesTag’s custom baseball caps can carry printed or embroidered branding and can be paired with T-shirts for event crews, outdoor campaigns or team kits. Choose the garments first, then align logo treatment and colors across the set before approving artwork.
Ordering and Production Planning
RafflesTag currently states that custom cotton T-shirts usually take around 15 business days for standard production after artwork approval, with rush production available from around 10 business days. Treat the event date as an ordering input, not an afterthought: allow time for artwork review, production and delivery. Exact availability, quantities, sizing and color selection should be confirmed for the chosen V-neck style when requesting the quotation.
For organizations building a broader uniform or merchandise program, custom patches can add a different branding format to apparel, bags or jackets. The custom patches range includes embroidered, woven, PVC, leather, sublimation and name-tag options. This is useful when the identity needs to extend beyond printed T-shirts or when a removable or textured badge is part of the brief.
To request the 180 GSM V-neck style, provide your required quantity, intended use, artwork, preferred branding position and deadline. RafflesTag can then confirm the available size and color choices for the order and advise on the appropriate customization route. Keeping those variables together at quotation stage reduces avoidable artwork revisions and makes it easier to compare this style with the heavier V-neck or round-neck alternatives.
Frequently Asked Questions:
GSM refers to fabric weight in grams per square metre. This style uses 180 GSM cotton, making it lighter than the 230 GSM and 260 GSM cotton options listed in RafflesTag’s range.
This product is the 180 GSM V-neck style. RafflesTag also lists round-neck cotton T-shirts at 180 GSM, 230 GSM and 260 GSM for buyers who prefer a more traditional crew neckline.
Yes. The cotton T-shirt range supports custom logos, text, names and artwork. Your final branding method and placement should be selected according to the artwork, quantity and required finish.
RafflesTag’s apparel page lists screen printing, heat transfer and embroidery for T-shirt customization. The appropriate option depends on your design, branding position, quantity and the visual finish you want.
It is suitable for company events, school activities, team uniforms, clubs, roadshows, family days and promotional campaigns where a custom cotton shirt with a V-neck profile is preferred.
The 180 GSM option uses less fabric weight than the 230 GSM and 260 GSM variants. Choose it when a lighter cotton construction is preferred; consider the heavier styles when additional fabric weight is important.
