A Long Sleeve Polo for Uniform-Led Branding
A long sleeve polo sits between a casual T-shirt and a more formal corporate shirt. The collar gives teams a structured appearance, while the long sleeves add coverage for air-conditioned workplaces, front-of-house roles, travel, outdoor assignments and events where a short sleeve may not suit the dress requirement. For procurement teams, that makes this style useful when the brief calls for coordinated apparel that remains easy to wear across repeated workdays or scheduled events.
Understanding the 60/40 Lacoste Knit
The specified fabric blend is 60% cotton and 40% polyester in a Lacoste knit. In Malaysian apparel terminology, “Lacoste” commonly describes a textured polo knit rather than the fashion brand. The cotton-rich composition distinguishes this style from fully synthetic performance polos, while the polyester component forms part of the blended fabric. This makes the product a sensible option when the buyer specifically wants a cotton-blend polo rather than a microfiber or quick-dry shirt.
When to Choose Long Sleeves Instead of Short Sleeves
Choose the long sleeve version when coverage is part of the uniform requirement or when the team moves between indoor and outdoor settings. A short-sleeve polo may be the simpler choice for hot, active environments, while a long sleeve polo offers a more covered silhouette for reception teams, site visits, conferences, exhibitions and coordinated company wear. Buyers comparing several garments can browse the broader range of custom T-shirts, polos and related pieces in the RafflesTag Malaysia apparel category before finalising the uniform mix.
Branding the Polo for Company and Event Use
Logo placement should be decided before production artwork is prepared. A left-chest logo is a common uniform approach because it stays visible without dominating the garment, while sleeve or back branding can be considered when the campaign needs additional identification. RafflesTag’s apparel range supports embroidery, screen printing and heat transfer. The most suitable method should be selected according to logo detail, number of colors, placement, order requirements and the finish expected from the garment.
Build a Consistent Staff or Event Kit
For exhibitions, conferences and company events, the polo can form one part of a coordinated branded kit rather than being ordered in isolation. Pair uniforms with custom lanyards for ID cards and access passes, or use custom printed bags to distribute event materials, welcome packs or merchandise. This approach helps procurement teams plan apparel and supporting items around the same event identity.
Suitable Buyers and Applications
This style is relevant to HR and procurement teams sourcing staff uniforms, marketing teams preparing roadshows, schools and clubs coordinating group apparel, event organizers dressing crews, and companies that need a collared garment for branded activities. The long sleeve format is particularly useful when the visual brief asks for a neat, covered appearance without moving to a button-up corporate shirt. It can also be used for internal events, training days, customer-facing teams and promotional programmes.
What to Confirm Before Requesting a Quote
Before requesting production, prepare the required quantity, preferred garment color, size breakdown, logo file, branding position and delivery date. If exact color matching or a specific decoration finish matters, include that requirement with the artwork. Because MOQ, lead time, size availability and garment colors have not been confirmed for this exact RafflesTag style, they should be checked at quotation stage rather than assumed from another supplier’s catalogue.
Ordering Alongside Other Branded Merchandise
Uniform projects often sit inside a larger onboarding, event or promotional order. If the same campaign also needs giveaways or staff packs, review RafflesTag Malaysia’s custom corporate gifts alongside the apparel order. Keeping the polo brief, logo files and supporting merchandise requirements together can make it easier to maintain a consistent brand presentation across staff clothing, identification items and distributed gifts.
Artwork and Order Preparation
For a cleaner production handoff, supply the logo in a high-quality artwork format and state the intended placement clearly. Include separate instructions for chest, sleeve or back artwork rather than relying on a visual reference alone. If several departments or teams need different logos, names or quantities, separate those requirements in the order breakdown. Final decoration method, production timing and availability should be confirmed against the approved artwork and quantity before the order proceeds.
Frequently Asked Questions:
The specified material is a 60% cotton and 40% polyester Lacoste knit. This cotton-rich blend is intended for buyers who want a collared polo rather than a fully synthetic performance shirt.
In Malaysian garment listings, “Lacoste” is commonly used to describe a textured polo-style knit. On this page it refers to the fabric construction or trade description, not a claim that the garment is made by the Lacoste fashion brand.
Yes. The collared design and long sleeves make it relevant for staff uniforms, reception teams, events, exhibitions, training sessions and other situations where a more covered branded garment is preferred.
Yes. RafflesTag’s apparel offering supports custom logo or artwork branding. The exact decoration method should be selected according to the artwork, placement, required finish and production requirements.
RafflesTag lists embroidery, screen printing and heat transfer across its T-shirt offering. The best method for this polo should be confirmed after reviewing the logo detail, color count, position and order quantity.
It depends on the uniform brief. Long sleeves provide more coverage and a more covered silhouette, while short sleeves may suit hotter or more active environments. Choose according to role, venue and dress requirements.
