A Straight Display Area for Structured Artwork
Unlike feather and teardrop flying banners, the rectangular style maintains a straighter outer profile. This creates a more conventional vertical canvas for artwork and can be useful when the design needs to accommodate multiple elements without working around a strongly curved banner shape.
That makes the Rectangular Flying Banner particularly suitable for company names, campaign headlines, promotional graphics, sponsor logos, directional information, and event branding. Businesses that need a freestanding promotional display but prefer a more structured shape can use this format instead of the curved alternatives available within the flying banner range.
Choose from Four Banner Heights
The Rectangular Flying Banner is available in 270 cm, 330 cm, 430 cm and 450 cm height options. The 330 cm option is identified as the most popular selection on the RafflesTag Malaysia product configurator.
A smaller 270 cm banner suits areas with limited display space, while the taller options provide a larger physical presence for open promotional areas. When selecting a size, consider the available ceiling height for indoor installations, surrounding displays, viewing distance, and how much space is available around the base.
For an indoor display that needs to retract into its own stand after an event, a custom pull-up banner offers a different presentation system.
Single-Sided or Double-Sided Printing
Customers can select either single-sided or double-sided printing. The best option depends mainly on how people will approach the banner.
Single-sided printing works well when most viewers see the display from one primary direction, such as beside a wall, storefront or exhibition booth. Double-sided printing is useful in more open locations where visitors may approach from opposite directions, including walkways, event entrances and freestanding promotional areas.
Before preparing artwork, consider the direction of pedestrian or vehicle traffic around the planned installation. This can help determine whether printing on one or both sides is more appropriate.
Select a Base for Your Display Location
A flying banner requires the right support system for its intended location. The Rectangular Flying Banner can be configured with several accessory choices: a water bag, ground spike stake, square flat base, or cross base with water bag.
A ground spike is designed for locations where an appropriate ground surface allows this type of installation. Flat and cross-base configurations provide alternatives for harder surfaces. Select a water bag when you need additional weight with a compatible base setup.
Consider the installation environment alongside the banner, rather than treating the base as an afterthought.
Rectangular Flying Banner vs Standard PVC Banner
Both products can carry promotional artwork, but their installation formats are different. A rectangular flying banner is a tall freestanding display supported by a pole and base system. It is suited to entrances, event spaces, roadside promotions and other locations where vertical visibility is useful.
A custom PVC banner is instead a conventional printed banner that can be installed using finishing options such as eyelets, rope or a pole pocket. Your choice depends on the available installation point and the type of display required.
Suitable Applications in Malaysia
Rectangular flying banners can be used across temporary campaigns and recurring promotional activities. Common applications include retail promotions, exhibitions, property launches, car showrooms, sports activities, corporate events, roadshows, open days and branded entrances.
The vertical format also works well where horizontal advertising space is limited. You can position several banners along an entrance or event route to create repeated branding without needing a continuous wall or backdrop.
For larger presentation areas that require a wide graphic surface behind a booth or photo area, consider a tension fabric backdrop instead.
Preparing Your Rectangular Banner Artwork
The straight rectangular format works particularly well with artwork arranged vertically. Keep important logos, headlines and calls to action large enough to be understood at the expected viewing distance. Avoid adding too many small details simply because more print space is available.
You can incorporate brand logos, promotional messages, product graphics, event details, and directional elements into the artwork. RafflesTag Malaysia's online configuration also lets you upload an artwork file of up to 10 MB with your order.
For more information on the available shapes and how custom flags are used for promotional displays, see the custom flags guide for Malaysia.
Order a Custom Rectangular Flying Banner
Start by entering the required quantity, then choose between the available 270 cm, 330 cm, 430 cm, and 450 cm sizes. Select single- or double-sided printing, then choose the base accessory that suits your planned installation area.
Once you've chosen these options, prepare the artwork for the selected rectangular format and upload it when placing the order. Selecting the banner size, viewing direction and base together helps create a display configuration suited to the actual promotional location.
Frequently Asked Questions:
A rectangular flying banner is a tall freestanding promotional display with a straight rectangular profile. It uses a pole and base system and can display custom branding, promotional artwork, event information or directional messages.
RafflesTag Malaysia offers four size options: 270 cm, 330 cm, 430 cm and 450 cm. The 330 cm size is currently identified as the most popular option in the online product configuration.
The Rectangular Flying Banner currently has a minimum quantity of 1 piece, so you can order a single banner or multiple displays for larger promotional needs.
Yes. We offer both single-sided and double-sided printing options. Double-sided printing is particularly useful for open spaces and walkways where visitors can approach and view the banner from either direction.
Available accessories include a water bag, ground spike stake, square flat base and cross base with water bag. Choose the setup according to the surface and location where the flying banner will be installed.
They can be used for retail promotions, exhibitions, roadshows, property launches, sporting events, event entrances and other promotional displays where a tall vertical advertising format provides useful visibility.
The rectangular version provides a straighter display profile, while a feather banner uses a curved shape. The rectangular format can be useful for structured layouts containing headlines, logos, sponsor marks and other vertically arranged information.
Choose single-sided printing when the display is primarily viewed from one direction. Double-sided printing is more appropriate when the banner stands in an open area where people are likely to approach from both sides.
