A Distinctive Teardrop Shape for Promotional Displays
Unlike a conventional horizontal custom banner, a teardrop flying banner uses vertical space to display branding without requiring a large wall or wide installation area. Its rounded profile gives the graphic a recognizable silhouette and makes it useful beside entrances, booths, walkways and other locations where floor space may be limited.
This style works particularly well when the artwork has one clear focal point, such as a company logo, campaign name, product graphic or short promotional message. Businesses can also use the vertical layout for directional information, event identification and sponsor branding.
Five Heights for Different Display Environments
RafflesTag Malaysia offers Teardrop Flying Banners in 225 cm, 275 cm, 310 cm, 380 cm and 450 cm height options. Consider the smaller options when space is limited, while larger banners add vertical presence for open areas and locations where the display needs to be noticed from farther away.
Before selecting a size, consider where people will approach the banner, the amount of surrounding visual clutter and the available floor or ground area. A larger banner is not automatically the right choice for every installation; the display should remain proportionate to its surroundings and leave adequate space for the selected base.
Single-Sided or Double-Sided Printing
You can order the Teardrop Flying Banner with single-sided or double-sided printing. Single-sided printing is useful when most viewers approach from one primary direction, such as in front of a storefront or beside a wall. Double-sided printing can be more appropriate in open areas, walkways, and event spaces where people may approach from either direction.
Custom artwork can incorporate your logo, brand name, promotional graphics, event information, and other visual elements. For campaigns that require larger conventional signage alongside the flying banner, RafflesTag also provides PVC and mesh banner printing.
Choose a Base for the Installation Location
The base is an important part of configuring a flying banner because indoor flooring and outdoor ground conditions require different setups. Available accessories for the Teardrop style include a Water Bag, Ground Spike Stake, Square Flat Base and Cross Base with Water Bag.
A ground spike is for compatible soft-ground installations, while flat- and cross-base configurations offer alternatives for locations where inserting a stake is unsuitable. You can add a water bag to compatible setups for extra base weight. Select the base based on the actual installation surface and environment, not just appearance.
Where Teardrop Flying Banners Can Be Used
Teardrop banners can support temporary campaigns and recurring promotional setups. Common applications include exhibition entrances, retail promotions, roadshows, property launches, sporting activities, product launches, school events, markets and branded event zones. Their vertical format also works well when you need to position several displays along an entrance route or promotional area.
For exhibition spaces where you need to present information on a straight upright panel rather than a shaped flag, a custom pull-up banner offers a different display format. Selecting between these products depends on the installation environment, desired silhouette and artwork layout rather than simply the overall height.
Preparing Artwork for a Teardrop Format
Create artwork specifically for the curved teardrop print area. Important logos, text and other essential information should remain comfortably inside the designated artwork area instead of being positioned too close to the curved edges.
Keep the main message concise so it's easy to understand quickly. Large logos, strong visual hierarchy and readable text are generally more suitable for a tall promotional flag than paragraphs of information. Detailed specifications, contact information or multiple offers may be better placed on accompanying signage while the teardrop banner handles the primary visual message.
You can upload artwork when configuring the order. The online product interface accepts artwork uploads up to 10 MB, helping customers submit their own prepared design for production.
Combining Teardrop Flags with Other Event Displays
For a coordinated event setup, teardrop banners can be positioned outside or around a venue while other signage handles information inside the space. RafflesTag's wider Flags & Banners collection includes different display formats for entrances, booths, retail spaces and promotional campaigns.
Businesses comparing flag shapes can also review RafflesTag's guide to custom flags in Malaysia, which covers teardrop, feather, rectangular and other flag formats. This helps when planning multiple signage types for the same campaign, rather than relying on one display format throughout the venue.
Ordering Custom Teardrop Flying Banners in Malaysia
Start by selecting the required quantity and one of the five available heights. Next, choose single-sided or double-sided printing and select the base or accessory that suits the intended installation area. Then upload your custom artwork with the order.
The minimum quantity is 1 piece, so you can use the product for a single promotional location or order larger quantities for coordinated branding across multiple sites. RafflesTag states that custom flying banners usually require around 15 business days after artwork approval, with rush production available from around 10 business days. Consider production requirements when planning for a fixed event date.
